Launch an instance

You can launch an instance using the RWS Console as described below.

Step 1 - To launch an instance

1. Open the RWS console at https://console.redundantwebservices.com.
2. From the console, If you’re at the dashboard, click on launch instance.
3. Under Name and tags, for instance name, enter a name for your instance.
4. Under Application and OS do the following:

• Under pick your server, choose the server based on your requirments.
• Choose your architecure base on your requirements.

5. Under **Instance type, choose your type based on your requirements.
6. Under Key pair (login), you can choose an existing key pair or Create a new key pair to create your first key pair.

Caution

It is not recommended to Proceed without a key pair. Some of the methods described in this guide may not be functional.

7. Under Network settings, we have pre selected default settings. For your first instance, we recommend you use the default settings. Otherwise, you can update your network setting based on your requirements.
8. Review a summary of your instance configuration in the Summary panel, and when you’re ready, choose Launch instance.

Step 2 - Connect to your instance

The procedures below are for linux operating systems.

You can connect to your Linux instance using any SSH client. If you are running Windows on your computer, open a terminal and run the ssh command to verify that you have an SSH client installed. If the command is not found, you can install OpenSSH for Windows.
